Resilient Futures: Building Financial Well-Being for All Canadians: A $60M Initiative to improve financial stability and financial skills in communities across the country
Canadians facing financial hardship have a new source of support through Resilient Futures: Building Financial Well-Being for All Canadians. This initiative will enable community organizations across Canada to provide essential financial empowerment services—including tax filing, benefits access, and personalized financial guidance—to low- and moderate-income households. There is also funding dedicated specifically to organizations focusing on supporting Black communities, First Nations, Inuit, and Métis, and people living with disabilities.
Supporting One Million Canadians
The goal of Resilient Futures is to assist one million Canadians in securing over $2 billion in critical benefits and financial resources, helping to build long-term skills and stability. Through this initiative, organizations will receive funding to expand and strengthen financial support services, ensuring accessible, community-based financial empowerment programs reach those most in need.
Who Can Apply?
Registered Charities and Non-profits that partner with a registered charitable organization committed to serving low-income Canadians are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate the capacity to expand services regionally and prioritize underserved communities. Preference will be given to organizations that offer services in both official languages. Organizations may also collaborate on joint applications to maximize their impact.
Application Process & Next Steps
The application period opens on April 2, 2025, and will close in May 2025.
