Kathleen O’Grady is a writer, editor and political and media strategist living in Ottawa, Canada. She is an Affiliate Assistant Professor, Simone de Beauvoir Institute, Concordia University and the author and editor of numerous books and articles on health policy, women’s and cultural issues.
She is the Founder and CEO of QUOI Media Group, specializing in political, policy and media research and strategy consulting. She has written and edited speeches, Op-Eds, policy briefs, strategy documents, literature reviews and research papers for politicians, think tanks, academics and artists. Her client list includes the Senate of Canada, a number of Ottawa-based think tanks, universities in Canada and the U.S., politicians and non-profit organizations.
Her book publications include, Making Evidence Matter in Canadian Health Policy (CIHR); Navigating the Evidence: Communicating Canadian Health Policy in the Media (CIHR); Why We Need More Canadian Health Policy in the Media (CIHR); Canadian Health Policy in the News (CIHR); Sweet Secrets (Sumach); French Feminism and Religion (Routledge); Religion in French Feminist Thought (Routledge) and Bodies, Lives, Voices (Bloomsbury). She has also authored children’s fiction, including First Words: Patti Kay’s Dreamworks (Bayeux).
Her writings on health, sexuality, and women’s and cultural issues have appeared in a variety of magazines and newspapers in North America, including: The Chicago Tribune, The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, Montreal Gazette, The Seattle Times, the Ottawa Citizen and more. She was previously the managing editor of EvidenceNetwork.ca (2011-2018).
Kathleen has been educated in the field of religion and culture at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), Waterloo, and the University of Cambridge, UK. She lectured in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Calgary and WLU. She was a Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Cambridge and a former Bank of Montréal Visiting Scholar at the University of Ottawa.
She is a volunteer editor with Wikipedia, Canada Project and on two research advisory committees with the IWK Health Foundation and the CHILD-BRIGHT Network. She was previously on the board for Girls Action Foundation. She is a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists and the Writers’ Union of Canada.

Nanci Dreger is the Administrator for QUOI Media Group. She assists the team with research, website editing, press releases and other administrative functions.
Her background includes several areas of focus such as marketing, website management, data research, executive administration and human resource management. She loves supporting the work of QUOI Media Group through value-added administrative/marketing skills. She has a diploma in Human Resource Management (HRM) from the University of Manitoba and runs her own virtual administration firm, Ronan Business.

Neeta das McMurtry

Neeta das McMurtry specializes in making academic and scientific ideas accessible to broader audiences. A former radio and television journalist, she has a knack for helping people articulate their thoughts with comfort and precision.
Her early on-air work was with CFRC, CFPL and CITY. Print and podcast collaborations with EvidenceNetwork.ca have appeared in professional and public media. She has helped create content for academics, software companies and biomedical companies across North America and around the world.
Neeta studied literature at Queens University, journalism at the University of Western Ontario, and motherhood at home. She is still a student.

Dr. Lee Tunstall

Over the past 25 years, Lee Tunstall has crafted an eclectic career working with the public, private and non-profit sectors, while developing a unique understanding and perspective of the different environments.
This varied background makes her an effective consultant dealing with a variety of issues that have ranged from violence against women to seniors’ issues. With extensive and well-honed research skills, she also has the ability to communicate academic research to a more mainstream audience. She is currently a member of the Canadian Freelance Guild, the Association of Independent Information Professionals and the Canadian Academy of Independent Scholars, and is a sessional instructor in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary, teaching in the graduate research program.
She holds a BA and MA from Carleton University and a PhD in History from the University of Cambridge.

Sheila Brawn

Sheila Brawn is a freelance journalist with a passion for producing high-quality work on deadline. She has many years’ experience researching, writing, and editing articles on a variety of topics for newsletters, newspapers, journals, and other media. She has previously worked as the editor of Canadian Nursing Management, Canadian Health Care Management, Canadian HR Reporter, and Canadian Payroll Reporter.
She is currently the editor of The Canadian Payroll Manual and related payroll publications, as well as the contributing editor of Canadian Employment Law Factbook, published by Thomson Reuters. She has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Carleton University.
